The city of Staunton, Virginia, (in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley at the intersection of I-81 and I-64) is culturally vibrant and is strongly committed to historic preservation.
Our house is in the Gospel Hill Historic District on one of the most beautiful and prestigious blocks in town: 317 E Beverley St. (East of Coalter St.)
In 2003, our house was one of five chosen for the annual Christmas Tour of Homes.
The elevation is 1460 ft.
It is a two-block walk to the center of town, Shakespeare Theater, Woodrow Wilson Birthplace and Library, Mary Baldwin College, movie theater, coffee shops, Stonewall Jackson Hotel and Conference Center, restaurants, and other attractions.
We are on a free trolly line.
